Good afternoon,

Well, we finally made it to last week of school. Go us!!
It has been a pleasure teaching, learning and growing with all of you this year, and I would like
to wish you all an amazing and safe summer. All the best to those students/families that won't be returning in the Fall. If there is anything that I have taught, or instilled (hopefully) in you, always be the best person you can be. Try your best, give it your all and always show kindness no matter what. Lead by example, think before your act or speak. Think, would my parents be proud of me?

- As a reward for finally completing out French speaking chart - The students will be allowed to bring in their electronic devices (if they wish) tomorrow and have a fun day.

- Make sure to keep reading and practicing your French over the summer. Perhaps read a book, watch a movie or tv show, or visit a French speaking city/country.


Also - Go Team Canada - Women's Soccer!!!

- Thank you to all those who returned some library books today - there are still a few books that need to be returned.
- Tomorrow is the Black Creek Pioneer Field Trip - the bus will be leaving around 9:00am so you can bring your regular backpack to school if you'd like as there will be close to an hour of class before departing as well as a bit of time after returning.
- Thursday morning is the Primary outdoor playday - (half day) - We will also be presenting our math probability games to the class on Thursday.
- We are also wrapping up our units on plants and First Nations in Science and Social Studies

- Report Cards go home June 25th
- Last day of school June 27th (11:05)

Good Afternoon!
I hope everyone had a good week and a fantastic weekend! How about those Raptors Eh!!!

- Today is our school BBQ 5-8pm
- Wednesday June 19th is the field trip to Black Creek Pioneer Village - I'm still missing some signed forms from some students - Thank you to all the parents who said they were available to volunteer. I have chosen a parent who didn't get to come on the CN Tower trip.
- Thursday June 20th we will be having an outdoor play day in the morning.
- June 25th Report cards go home
- June 27th last day of school (end time is 11:05am)
- Some students still have library books to return - at this point students are no longer permitted to take books out from the school library. Please return any books you may have at home asap - thanks.
- Tomorrow we will begin presenting our Math probability games to the class. This project was done instead of a final test.

- Please remember that you may purchase food and game tickets on school cash online for the school BBQ on June 17th - the last day to pre-purchase will be June 10th
- There are still a few students that need to hand in their field trip permission form.
- The grade 8s will also be running a fundraiser for "Charity Water" at the BBQ

- Health test on Tuesday June 11th - drugs and making healthy choices -
- Science quiz Thursday June 13th - labeling parts of the plant, leaf and life cycle of plant (test following Monday June 17th)
- Social studies Test Friday June 14th - First Nations - What is a colonist? How did pioneers travel? How do First Nations people feel about nature? What did the Europeans learn from the indigenous people? 

Please remind your child to bring home their duotangs or notes/notebook to review the appropriate materials before assessments  - I will also remind the supply teachers.

This will be my last post until Monday June 17th

Welcome back!
- Reading
- We are currently working on our last Math unit of the year - We will "probably" do some sort
of culminating project / board game next week
- Today in Social Studies we compared some methods of transportation as well as responsibilities of children from the early 1800s - discuss this with your child
- Students should be finished/ finishing up their science project on plants - I would like to have the students present their work on Friday.
- Thank you to all those who have paid and returned their pioneer village forms - Please bring in the form asap if you have not already done so.
- 2 math tests were sent home today - please review with your child
